Full Version: Did Montblanc ever have a turquoise green ink?

I am wondering when did Montblanc produce a turquoise green color? I picked up a bottle at the clearance bin, but I don't see this color on their website anymore and I'm not sure what the exact name of the color is called because it doesn't have a box.

It's turquoise green in color and very pretty. Does anyone know the name of this?

Also, I saw an ink's name called "Ruby Red". It looks orangy red but I didn't pick that up. Maybe I will go for it today. What do you think of this color?

Hi, Betty,

I mistakenly posted a question on the other Ink forum about two MB turquoises that I have. One is a blue-ish turquoise while the other one is definitely greenish. (They are in differently-shaped bottles, too.) No one had answered last time I looked, so I'm still as much in the dark as you, unfortunately. sad.gif

What I do know is that I bought the bottle (the greenish turquoise is in the shoe-shaped bottle) quite a while ago (10-15 yrs) new. Other than that, I'm stumped. (Btw, there's no color name on either bottle, so there's no help there, either.)

Sorry I can't be more help.

This is from the clearance bin, so it is very plausible that perhaps my turquoise green is also 10-15 years old? Either way, it is a beautiful color!

I also have a turquoise green and blue. Both are very pretty smile.gif I only have the shoe bottle of both bottles. How does the old style bottle look?

Can either of you post a sample of this elusive ink? I love turquoise inks, and would like to see a "greeny-er" version. Only if it's easy!!

Thanks,
Marina.

To me, it looks the same as the Caran d'Ache Turquoise Green I did a review on some time ago. I will write something up with the Mont Blanc version as well for you, but I have a late night at work today and tomorrow...I'll see smile.gif I think the color is very pretty.

My brother is a big user of Montblanc Turquoise. I hope for his sake that it has not been discontinued.

Here are a couple interesting threads on Montblanc Turquoise:

Edited to say... just don't ask me if the color is blueish or greenish. I only thought the reviews and samples might be of interest.

I would say the reviews are blue-ish. I have both a blue turquoise and a green turquoise. Maybe the green is a discontinued color. I will definitely need to write up something to show here. I'm surprised no one knows the name for it,

Hi,

It is supposed to be called green. I picked a bottle quite by chance today while looking for refills for my Montblanc in the Montblanc boutique. smile.gif

The green is quite a turquoise green ink. smile.gif

Is the current MB bottle the shoe/boot shaped one?

...Sure would like to know, as I'd like to have one of those bottles, but have heard about this other bottle a couple of times and want the bottle more than the ink, so I've been reluctant to buy.

TIA,
Ann

Hi,

I like both the shoe bottle and the ink, so I will be sure to keep stock on that colour! smile.gif
