Hi folks,
I will be heading to Italy for a rather special holiday in September (honeymoon ...) and we will be staying in Venice, Rome and Positano/Amalfi coast so if anyone would be kind enough to let me know of any pen shops that are worth investigating, I would really appreciate it.

I have been to Italy before and that where I picked up the first of my ever expanding range of Vanishing points - one of the older faceted models and I got a fabulous Visconti (sterling silver and blue celluloid- very nice..) which has been joined by a couple of Van Gough (well I would not like the first one to be lonely )

So any suggestions would be great

Be sure to see Marco at Novelli in Rome. He has great selection of pens, good prices, and is a real pleasure to do business with. www.novelli.it I have bought a few pens from him on-line, but buying from him in person and getting to see the selection of pens was a real treat.

Venice was a real disappointment. All these kitschy overpriced stores for tourists. I didn't find one store that carried nice writing implements, just cheapo stuff for a ransom!
Novelli in Rome is great, I agree with lterry.

I was in Venice before and was also disappointed but that was a while ago before i really got the pen bug...
