I have looked for the original Delta Pompeii for almost 10 years. Hopefully my quest is over. IMHO this is the most lovely red celluloid pen out there. I do not like the thinner Millennium version with the diamond on the cap. The pens was originally made in 1996, a production of 1600 fp's. This a fairly poor stock photo of one. I am giddy like a school girl.

That is a wonderful pen! I like the cherry red with olive green a lot. Definitely one of my "on the wish list" pens and my favorite Delta.

Good find! The Pompeii celluloid is especially beautiful, and extra cool because there's not much else like it. I handled a couple of the newer versions at the DC show and have to agree that the more slender size of the original is tough to beat.

As always, the photos of some pens just do not capture their beauty. I feel the Pompeii is one of those pens. Its depth of color is alive when seen in person. Congrats on your find. I know what it is like to search for many years for a special pen. I hope you let us know when it arrives and your impressions on owning it at last.
