Hi,

I recently acquired a Stipula Vedo (Violet/Amethyst) from Ebay. Its a pity it wasn't boxed, but is brand new....and it has a medium/fine nib unit. I was wondering if Italic nib units are available separately for sale and if the nb units can be easily screwed out and replaced much like Pelikans and Reform 1745s?

cheers,

Hi Milo,
as you can see here Stipula produces italic nibs only for 14K and 18K nibs. Because of I have done what you are asking I can easily assure you that all Stipula (except the retracting nibs) nibs can be screwed like Pelikans.

Stipula does produce an italic nib (steel) for the Vedo, but only in one size. Their gold italic nibs come in 0.9 and 1.1mm sizes. Nibs unscrew for easy change.

Are you sure? Where did you find that italic steel nib? I am very interested in it. I think the size is like a medium, isn't it?

Yes, 100%. I can't go into reasons here because it's against FPN rules, IYSWIM wink.gif.

Italic nibbed Vedos were available on Regina Martini's auction site. I hat one on my watch list but did not bid.

I'm positive. One of my three Vedos has one (I believe it's the one I ordered from Regina Martini). I also have both 0.9 and 1.1 gold nibs, so let me see if I can do a comparison scan later.

Oh, and the Bellini I sold also had one. I bought that one at Fahrney's.

You can also get the I Castoni with an italic nib, at least at Swishers.

Hi all,

thanks for all your responses. I had check the penemporium website but like you said they only have gold italic nibs. Martin, I'll contact you through official channels to find out more if The Writing Desk sells Stipula nibs. In the mean time, Regina Martini's site will get another view!

cheers,
Milo
