Alright, well...
I had almost forgotten about this pen before I re-discovered it amongst my broken pens recently.
It's a black Touchdown-fill pen with a Feather Touch nib on it.
It's not a Lifetime Feather Touch nib, just a regular one (I guess?).

It's marked:
SHEAFFER'S
Feather Touch
MADE IN U.S.A.
5
14K

It's a definite Touchdown-fill and the body is marked with:
W.A. SHEAFFER PEN CO.
FORT MADISON, IOWA, U.S.A.
MADE IN U.S.A.

It's on the smaller side, I guess.
From the tip of the nib to the end (closed) it's right about 4 & 1/2 inches,
interestingly enough, comparing size wise, my Esterbrook SJ is just only a millimeter or two bigger. (cap off)

Anyway... I want to try and find out what model of pen this is?
(Such as Balance, Tip-Dip, etc. (I know it probably isn't one of those, I just used them for reference))
Outside of knowing that it's a Sheaffer, a Touchdown and a Feather Touch, I know nothing else about it.
It doesn't have a cap, so I can't reference that against anything unfortunately...

I picked the pen up for only a couple of bucks at the local Memory Market, so if I can't find out much more about it, it's no biggie...

Thanks for all info in advance!

As far as I know, 5 on the point = Admiral. Not a top of the line pen, but a rather sweet writer. I've been using a Burgundy version of what you show there all weekend.

Yes to me it looks also to be an Admiral Touchdown. If the band on the cap is broad and not like a small ring it's the admiral. I got a blue one, feather touch nib (5). Though the pen is smallish it writes very good.

I've checked it against my dad's burgundy Admiral and it looks identical, outside of the color, so I think that might be it, thanks!

If you are looking for the name of the pen, along the lines of "Balance", "Tip-dip", etc than it would either be a Touchdown or a TM Touchdown, depending on the width of the pen (TM being "Thin Model") See .

The model name itself would be an Admiral.

I'll take a peak in the parts bin and see if I have a suitible cap. I don't think so, but one never knows. . .

I found a cap that fits it after rummaging around in my broken pens box again.

Thanks for all the info!
