Do you have favorite words? Words that just catch your attention and you look for excuses to use them? Do you write them over and over to enjoy through your pen? Right now, I have two that I am really enjoying:
chunter
imprecate
acfrery

Not words, but since one of the few capital letters I have improved is "R"... I have to confess I find me trying to start senteces with it!
Thank you James Pickering!

My favourites would have to be:-
Sequipidalian = drawn out, long winded.
Moonbeams = slang; lots of money.
Cool bananas = cool.

Luftkissenfahrzueg I think is German for hovercraft, sort of rolls of the tongue. Appologies if misspelt.

My favorite word happens to be
pensive, but more for the meaning than aesthetics.
When I am absolutely blank with what to write but just want to love my pens, I go to the default phrase of:
"The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog."

Oh, when I'm just blank, I write my favorite race horse names. Those are great. Lots of good letters to practice. Megahertz, Afleet Alex, Da Stoops, Lost in the Fog, Stevie Wonderboy, Perfect Drift. Horses are a very good source of "I'm blank" writing.

I tend to write whatever someone is saying on the DVD I'm watching.
Or if I'm not watching anything, I'll write out the lyrics to Why Does the Sun Shine.
Though I've filled pages with words that start with 'S' - "shiny," "sparkly," "shimmery," "silly."

Penultimate--and I only now noticed the 'pen' so there is no pun intended here. I have always tried to find ways to use this word, but there have been very few occasions over the years. I did get to use it in a memo to my director two weeks ago.
I never got an answer from her. Hmm.

I have some favorite words that I like to write. They are simple words; perhaps I just like the way my pen flows from letter to letter in cursive, lower case. Here they are:
please
always
here
stay
love
want
away
anyway
Cheesy? Nah... Romantic? Oh, yeah!

Well, ummm, in Dutch of course:
"Het leven is een pijp kaneel"
"Eenieder zuigt eraan en krijgt zijn deel"
That translates roughly to:
"Life is like a cinnamon stick" (the candy variety, fairly soft and sweet)
"Everybody licks and draws and gets a share"
This is supposed to be derived from some Dutch poetry, but I haven't established by whom yet. My father used to quote this a lot, appropriate or not, so it stuck.
Of course, there is "The quick brown fox...." as well, "Once upon a time...", and a few others I can't think of right now.
Oh, wait: pen, ink, paper, nib, converter, section...
Warm regards, Wim

I have never had any problem saying, "I'm sorry." This is one expression I have been attempting to teach to my kids in school. It is very useful for getting out of potential situations.
Believe it or not, these words are so simple and if more people knew the expression there would be far fewer fights.

Grace - one of those words that has layers of meaning and yet is simple and for some reason the word just "sounds like what it is"
in a similar but less metaphysical vein
"grey" - note the archaic spelling. "grey" feels like what it is. for some reason "gray" feels like it has more color than "grey" and "grey" shouldn't be so colorful.
no particular words when doodling though.

it's used jokingly, of course.
I also like the word, "fiesta". I like the way it sounds, and how it rolls off the tongue.

When I’m feeling mischievous, which is regularly, I love saying the word “cromulent” – as in, that was a perfectly cromulent response to the question, good answer. It’s a word from The Simpsons that the creators of the show made up. As for words I like to write – I like writing “Eternal Recurrence,” which almost never comes up in conversations but comes up lots in my journaling, and I like the word gregarious, mostly because my lower case g is one of the best in my handwriting repertoire.

'Grace' is lovely KCat. Jeff Buckley. At the moment it's not so much individual words but phrases that occupy my pen and the virtual e-mail pen.
'I owe you a snail'
'I didn't do it/it wasn't me/I wasn't there...'
'It doesn't matter - you tried'
'I am grubby from unblocking the drain (again)'
'I still didn't do it/ it still wasn't me/ I still wasn't there'
'Please keep folks out of The Orangery - I'm busy'
'That's never gonna fit'
'Is it three parts sand and one part cement or the other way around?'
'Ow. My toof hurts'
'Well done sweetie - I love you'
'Don't be daft, it doesn't matter.'
'Shall I bring a sleeping bag?'
'Tell the truth or your gonads are in the blender'
'I'm sorry, that wasn't meant for you...'
'Put it in writing and I'll think about it'
'no. Okay, maybe. Alright - YES

'
Gawd, life is complicated.

I use the phrase, "build a bridge and get over it" quite often at work.

Just this morning I had a friend who was telling me a story she had gone through. She was feeling very persecuted and that she was a victim(quite unnessesarily so).... I said to her.... "Why don't you climb down off the cross and use the lumber to build a bridge to get over it".... it made her laugh and she hugged me and said "thanks, I needed that!"

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who writes endless lines of words just for the sheer delight of the perfect marriage of pen, ink and paper!
"Sausages" is something that seems to flow from my nib, for no apparent reason.
I also list the full names of my husband and children, over and over again.
I am the only one with no middle name (we gave the boys three names each; an "ordinary" first name, a family name and a "posh" name), so I have recently invented two for myself!
There's also the practical listing of the pen name, nib and ink colour. That can be useful, especially when I've got several ink mix recipes on the go at once and I forget which one is which!

I'd like to change my entry if I may. Lately one word has been on my mind and I perk up every time I hear it...
Friend and all it's permutations: friends, friendship, best friend, friendly, friendliness...
Well, perhaps not friendless.
Like grace, it has many levels for me, each as warm as a heavy flannel blanket and twice as soft.
