This pen closed today at the equivalent of about $150. Someone got a super deal as they have sold for over $300-350 and more. We know the seller and the condition of this pen is close to new as possible. Wow! A real steal.

I was watching that pen as well and thought it would go for at least 30000JPY...whoever got it, certainly got a very nice deal

I had it bookmarked too but did not follow to the end. Not really my style but maybe I could have overlooked that issue for such a great price.

Is there any special technique used to make Seirei-nuri?

Did you all see the Super 300 with matching pencil and original leather case that finished last week? I didn't know they made matching pencils...

Yes. Saw that one and it was high on my list. As I recall, it went for slightly more than hoped.
Many of the Pilot Super pens had matching pencils. They seemed more a luxury item and came with sets, and not as many were made or sold. Not only in the 1950s! Finding matching pencils for many of the older Pilot Customs and others is a chore. Surprisingly, when they come up for sale, they can be real bargains.
