Certainly no reason to laugh. It was the last pen produced entirely in Fort Madison. Fort Madison was known for its excellent metalwork and this pen represents the quality of workmanship which was expected. We will not likely see this quality and workmanship again.
By the way, I wish that I had a second pen to offer but all I have is one -- and, I'm certainly keeping that one.

No, I meant, laugh at my temerity in trying to find one to buy. I can't imagine anyone who loves Sheaffer's laughing at the pen.
