Thought I'd share this interesting large hole dollar pen with everybody. Most all of the dollar pens I have seem to be constructed from three to five separate strips of celluloid. Older pens seem to tend to have more strips and newer have fewer. This week I got a really interesting one that appears to be at least 7 strips with very pronounced joints between them.

That is somewhat unusual. I have not seen any with such a ridge pattern. There's usually ripples, but yours has very pronounced lines running the width of the pen, at least in one section. Very "tiger-stripe".

The lines remind me of the visumaster(?)

Yeah, if the cap had a similar design I'd say it was a one off for production consideration but... the cap is pretty normal

The visumasters use a wide, thin, wide motif but the joints between strips aren't soooo dark and obvious...
