Hi all,
Attached a picture of a special tool I made & use on a specific & very popular fountainpen brand.
Most of the time one does not need the tool when repairing a pen, although it has proven to be extremely helpfull on some stuborn ones !
The tool is an aluminium block with a thickness of 7mm, a width of 12mm & a length of 20mm (dimensions not really critical)
I'll post a picture of its use & a sketch (allowing to make it yourself) after its purpose is found.
Any idea's ?
Cheers, Francis

It looks to be handy to help remove the stubborn Pelikan nib on the older models with the longitudinal fins on the feed?

Nah, that is a comb for getting the chunks of ossified sac out of your hair after snapping them off of a section with a dental pick. smile.gif

Truthfully, I think that you hit it on the head, it is for removing older Pelikan nibs from 100's etc with the longitudinal feeds.

Cheers,
Sean

Spot on Kelly & Sean !
Clearly to easy for you experts
I've made the tool this morning for removing a very stubborn Pelikan nib.
Even after overnight soaking in an ammonia solution - partly combined with US cleaning a "bain marie" - I could not move the nib assembly. using the tool it finally came out .
In the meantime the design is rather drastically evolved.
I'll make a new posting to show how it actually looks & explain why I've made the changes;
Cheers, Francis
