I know a lot of people really don't like nib creep, and probably avoid certain inks because of it, but I've only had this happen a couple of times with inks in the Lamy al-star that I write with the most. However, I do get ink splattered all over the nib - splotches of ink are always all over the steel nib. I'm not sure how this happens, the pen lives in my shirt pocket, so it doesn't really get tossed around or anything. The only ink that this hasn't happened to me is waterman blue-black, which is an extraordinarily well behaved ink in my pen. Also, my Lamy isn't a particularly wet writer. Does anyone else have this happen?

I don't think it would take much agitation to get a little ink on the nib- I'm sure that walking with it in your pocket all day would easily splatter some ink on the nib. If you use a q-tip to clean out the inside of your cap you might even find some ink in it too, especially if it is ever carried nib-down.
I get ink on the inside of my cap all of the time, but not as often is it splattered on the nib.
