As you can see in the pictures, the barrel has an inscription "SHEAFFER'S" with a large "86" on top. The cap is gold filled with also the "SHEAFFER'S" inscription on the clip. The section is strange, because the lower part is similar to that of a hooded nib pen, but the upper part of the section is cut sharply as a "V" to expose the nib and a large golden "S" is carved in the plastic. The nib reads "Sheaffer's" 14 K. This is a cartridge filling pen. I refilled its old cartridge with Sheaffer Sepia ink, and it writes like a dream.
