Hello to all,

I am reacquainting myself to my fountain pen, currently a Lamy Safari (F nib). The last 24 hrs has seen my collection to a whooping 3! But the other two are vintage pens (see my sig). I have also upgraded my Safari to a converter and plan on using Pelikan 4001 ink.

I am located about 45 miles from Birmingham, Alabama and was wondering what, if any, fountain pen clubs, shops, or anything in Alabama. I would be most appreciate of any information that you guys could provide.

Hi Michael,

I don't know of any pen clubs in Alabama and the nearest pen store I know about is in Atlanta (Artlite).

There is a pen restorer in Montgomery (Rick Horne, www.thesouthernscribe.com). I haven't done any business with him, just found his web page.

I'm afraid Alabama is on the frontier the fountain pen world. Thank goodness for the FPN and the internet!

I do remember seeing him when I was searching for folks to restore my mom's old "51" Special. I will try to email him and see if he is aware of any resources here in Alabama.

Thanks!
Michael
