Full Version: Odd Legacy Nib

I bought a Legacy from a well reviewed discount pen seller. When I received it, the nib was as below. I wrote the seller, who responded that this was a normal broad nib. It looks to me like it has been smashed or ground down flat on top. (The bottom of the nib appears normal.) Is it just me? Is this nib normal? Should I accept it? Thanks, Steve

He,he, if you don't want it, I'll take it!. Now!. Is just a normal broad nib top, and could be grounded into a stub pretty easily....

Yup, I have a Targa with a broad nib with the top just like that. That's probably just the way Sheaffer makes broad nibs.

(although of course, if you don't want it, I'll take it too tongue.gif )

The end has to be a little flat like that, or it wouldn't write properly.
