Hello, I'm new on the forum here. I'm not even an FP newbie because I haven't purchased my first pen yet. I'm reading the FAQs now, but I'm sure I'll have questions.

Doing things in a more "hands on" or more traditional way has become more attractive to me as technology has taken over bigger parts of life. FPs seem like another outlet for me in this direction. Thanks for putting up all this great info.

Hello and welcome to FPN. If you hang around here too long you will be adding on to your house to try to make room for your collection!!

Welcome to FPN! Now you should go to a pen store and write with some, armed with your knowledge gained here. Good luck! We hope to hear back from you when you have tried 'em! I'm sure you'll love the feel.

Welcome to the board. Just remember once you start down this road there is no turning back. It all starts with one pen, then its three, ten, thirty......... and its alot of fun. Get one soon.

Best Regards,

Well hi there Jordan!

Yes this is a fantastic form. The very best place to ask anything re FPs. Check out a Pelikan 215 for a starter. (No I don't work for Pelikan.)

Welcome to FPN, Jordan. You are lucky to be in the NYC area. There are great pens stores in NYC, plus a couple of pen clubs too, where you can meet other pen users and collectors, and learn from them too. Check out the Clubs/Meetings sub-forum, I know the Long Island and the NJ pen clubs meet often.
