I recently sent Namiki Connecticut two VPs that had broken trap doors that were the result of careless handling by others. To my amazement they simply replaced the parts and sent me the repaired items at no charge. I fully expected having to pay for something.

The turnaround was about two to three weeks from Honolulu to Connecticut and to Honolulu again. Given the distance from the Pacific to the Atlantic I am impressed and thankful for the great service. So now I have two Yukari Royales, about 6 or 7 VPs, a Fermo, and a Decimo, and feel even better about owning them knowing that the company stands behind their products.

Boy, that's good to hear. I had worried about what would happen over time, with lots of use.

It sounds like they have good service. I'm sure that it's due in part to the fact that they haven't outsourced US service to some random company.
Out of curiosity, how did the trap doors become broken due to misuse? My VP seems very rugged in that respect.

(1) Got the pens that way with the broken doors. I expected to have to pay and indicated that in my transmittal. To my surprise Pilot/Namiki fix them at no charge. I think if it were a MB that for sure the response would have been ...that will be $____ . I think I see more Pilot/Namikis in my future.

(2) The models were the current line VPs. Nothing special.
