So, I received a fine Cartier, Pasha nib this evening. My Ladyfriend saw it and commented that it was beautiful. The conversation went like this:

What did you get?
A nib, it's nice isn't it?
It's beautiful! What are you going to do with it?
I don't know, I have to wait until it tells what it wants me to do with it.
Make me a pen. (I have found that pens often speak through this woman.)
Okay, what kind of pen would you like?
Something Feminine, and pretty, and for me.

Now, her birthday is coming up pretty soon, so I'm on it. Err, what is feminine in a pen?

Not too long. Not too big around. Silvery. No geometric design. Filigree. Flowery.

A pretty, colourful acrylic. Or something monochrome (but not too sombre) with a filigree overlay. That would be very nice.

I've got some nice blue acrylic (I think it's acrylic). I hadn't thought about the filigre. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll post a picture when I'm done.

What color are her eyes? Use that color for the pen body, or for a jewel on the cap. If her eyes are very dark, make the cap jewel black, and the pen body the same color as the last thing she bought for herself that she truly loves and where the color was the major part of the decision (car, earrings, dress). Reverse the color choices if necessary. You are trying to match her idea of "feminine" not anyone else's. The reason for picking eye color is to give you something loving to say about her when you give her the pen.

and a matching ink ?

Well, I like big, thick, no filigree and geometrical. (Nozac like). Blue acrilic is great, but titanium....even better LOL!

Ooh! Blue acrylic with a geometric titanium overlay. That would be a cool pen. Actually I think titanium would look nicer with burgundy. puddle.gif

how about one of those pens you turn upside down and the girls swim suit comes off...that's feminine

There's certainly nothing wrong with titanium. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Make it pretty by putting a diamond on the clip! smile.gif (or her favorite gemstone)
