I know that there are quite a few members from the Boston area here, as well as a few from RI and Southern NH. Is there, or has there ever been a Boston Pen Club? or any system of informal meetings of fountain pen owners? During my year and a half on FPN, I have not heard of it, so I am guessing "no".
But come on! The Boston area is home to:
- The Boston Pen Show
- Noodler's Ink
- The excellent and unique Bromfield Pen Shop
- Over a *dozen* other shops that sell fountain pens and/or stationary
And, not one but two nibmeisters are under an hour's drive away: Richard Binder in Nashua and Dillon Ang in Providence
So I ask you, why is there no Boston Pen Club?
I am returning from abroad at the end of August and would be quite interested if others wish to get involved as well.
