A brown ink is always nice to have. I have Waterman Havana Brown and like it a lot.

I'm reknowned for loving turquoise and blues and would suggest Ottoman Azure, Caran d'Ache Caribbean Sea, Waterman South Sea (current favourite), Navajoe Turquoise and PR Naples Blue. Herbin Bleu Pervenche is a stunning bright turquoise, ideal for highlighting.

I really like J. Herbin's Lie de The. It's a brown with a faint greenish tinge.

Montblanc Racing Green is worth a go if you haven't tried it. It's become my daily ink.

I second the Montblanc Racing Green suggestion, but you already have a green on the way. You need a purple/violet--Montblanc Violet or Noodler's Purple Wampum--and an orange--Private Reserve Orange Crush or Shoreline Gold. Yeah...that should do it!

I have to put in a vote for J. Herbin's Lie de The and the Poussiere de Lune.
Very dusky plum/purple.

And then, you can always start mixing inks.
One of my favourite colours is a mix of two parts Noodler's Ottoman Azure with one part Diamine Aqua Blue. It gives a very nice greeny-blue colour.

Private Reserve Ebony Purple. My new favorite color. I'm also enjoying the Avocado.

Diamine Woodland Green, Diamine Monaco Red, Diamine Golden Brown, Noodler's Antietam are inks I really have enjoyed giving variety in color to my everyday writing.

Royal Aztec (closer to orange than Apache Sunset, with no apparent shading)
Navajo Turquoise
Purple
Galileo Manuscript Brown
Tulipe Noire
Red Black

It may be worth while taking a look at the ink swatches at 'The Writing Desk' under the manufacturer's names
http://www.thewritingdesk.co.uk/showcat.php?cat=inkVery useful in deciding.

I like a nice brown ink (there are many many great ones to chose from depending on your brand preference).... and a nice deep purple (like Diamine Damson) or teal - teal is always a good colour

Turquoise
Purple
Orange
Brown
If you are red/green colorblind (the reds and greens that most people preceive are perceived as various hues and shades of brown), or someone who usually reads your stuff is, you can use turquoise instead of green and purple instead of red.
Look at samples of browns before you pick one. Some are reddish or even pinkish, some are greenish, some are yellowish, some are grayish, and some are more neutral.

Some of my favorite interesting colors:
Diamine Dark Magenta
Private Reserve Naples Blue (really a teal)
Diamine Mediterranean Blue (a terrific light blue)
Cheers.

I am with all the folks saying: BROWN!
There are many brown inks, very nice looking, can be 'serious' or not, and are given to quote a bit more more nuance and subtlety than most blacks and blues (IMHO). I am fans of R&K Sepia (incredible ink!) and PR Copper Burst. The Copper Burst I add a bit of black to, the Sepia is wonderful on its own.

I am with Richard in encouraging you to look at color swatches on line, perhaps even downloading some. The colors might not be exactly true on your monitor, but you will have some idea what the inks look like. See what appeals to you.
I am a big fan of J. Herbin, Pelikan and Montblanc inks. Among those companies, there are interesting browns, burgundies, greens and shades of blue. I fear I must confess I am also a brown ink junkie, and Herbin and MB have several nice browns and sepias.
