I sent an email to the FPN admins, like it said to in the Ink Ordering Instructions, two or three days ago and have yet to recieve a response. How long does it normally take to get a response?
Jimmy James
I got same day response times, but the first time I ordered the invoice ended up in my spam mail for whatever reason. Check there if you haven't.

There is one admin who does all of this (Elaine), and I know there have been times she seems to have been away for a couple of days before she was able to get back to this stuff based on inquiries I have seen like yours.

I sent another email and an message to elaine.

Same issue here. I sent off two emails. The first one around two weeks ago, the second one a few days ago. Still nothing on either. Maybe everyone's on vacation? smile.gif

They should at least notify us somehow. I rechecked the directions and I'm pretty sure i did everything right.

I had a 4 day wait between my initial email and an invoice. But I'm so used to buying things "instantly" online that it's easy to forget FPN isn't a retail outlet. The Galileo brown was just what I was looking for, and worth the (excruciating) wait.

Ok I guess that makes me a little less worried. But I WANT MY INK haha.

This isn't retail. There's not a huge staff of order takers and fulfillers. There's Elaine, sometimes helped out by another admin. The admins have day jobs, have families that have needs, go on vacation, get sick, need time off, just like the rest of us. You'll get your reply.

If enough people complain loud enough, the admins will decide that it isn't worth the trouble to support things like FPN LE ink and pens. Being patient pays dividends.

I apologize if this is more strongly worded than my usual, but having been an admin on various online services for over twenty years, and having been an officer in professional associations, I have a lot of empathy for what the unpaid admins here go through to keep FPN running.

I see your point. I'm just really excited for my ink thats all.
Elaine
Sorry about the delay. Health issues getting in the way again. Response time is very erratic. I hope to be caught up this week or next at the latest.

Elaine et al,

I believe that everybody is truly appreciating what you do for this board.
I didn't read the "response concern" as a critique, not even as a request for faster response, but more as an insecurity (at least that's what it was for me :-)) "Did I do the right thing? Did I send the email to the right person? Are they sold out?"

Now, I CAN'T wait to get my inks :-)

Keep writing alive!

Cordially,

BArt G. Denys

Exactly. I was afraid I had screwed up or something. I can't wait for my ink. Thanks for all you do Elaine.
