I am so giddy... I almost feel like a little school girl. Not only did I just order my first Estie it is also my first vintage fountain pen. Something about the Estie just grabs my attention. I think that it is the beauty of their simplicity. The on I ordered was, from vintagepens.com, a SJ in the copper color with a #2668 nib. So I am anxiously awaiting my new pen. thumbup.gif

Congratulations! You should really enjoy that pen. The copper is a beautiful color and the 2668 is a nice nib. Enjoy it (and get ready to watch your Estie collection quickly grow in size!).

I'm an Estie fan as well. Great pens. 2668 is probably my favorite nib in the 2000 series. Enjoy!

I just got my pen today while I was at work. It is a little smaller and lighter than I thought it would be. I am very pleased with the appeal of this pen, I have not used it yet since I am at work so as to how it writes I have no clue.

And that's why we do what we do. Congrats on the pen and the #2668 is a good nib to start with.

I know how you feel. I just sent payment for my first Estie...a blue Transitional J! I am buying from a guy who does all of his own restoration work, so I know that it has been restored with card. I will post pics when I receive it.

My excitement level is through the roof. It will be my first working vintage pen. I have a Parker "51" Special that I am sending to a friend for work, and hopefully he will get it in working order.

Congratulations! I hope you both enjoy your new pens. thumbup.gif
As it happens my first vintage pen was a blue transitional J with a 2668 nib. Great writer.
The copper and the blue are my favorite Estie colors, at least for the moment. cool.gif

I just inked this pen for the first time and I must say that it blows my Philas out of the water. I put Baystate Blue ink in it and it laid down an almost perfect line. There is just enough tooth in the nib to slow down the flow of the pen on paper.

Cool MS3607, I just bought an Esterbrook with a 2668 nib and my first FP was a Phileas.
