Hi folks,
I bought an Osmiroid 65 but wanted a better nib, so Fred Krinke at the Fountain Pen Shop sold me an Esterbrook 9128. I love the nib, which is flexible, and I confess I would not remove the bit of tooth it has, because the just-right-amount-of-scratchiness thrills me while I write. (Where else can I tell that to anyone?)
So, now I am waiting for my first Esterbrook (Copper) to arrive in the mail from an ebay purchase. It has a Venus nib (I know, you guys saw it on ebay, too.)
They are really nice looking, but you knew that, too.
OK, so next time, I will get an Esterbrook pen WITH an Esterbrook nib. But, I remember earlier posts that seemed to tilt in the direction of giving some wiggle room on what is "authentic."
Cheers!
Mars
