Hello,

I'm Qinyi and hail from Singapore.
My first fountain pen was a really scratchy fountain pen that I gave up 5 years ago. 2 months ago, I received news that Uniball was no longer making refills for 0.5 mm vision elite and I was desperate to find a replacement. With certain apprehension, I tried out the Lamy Safari and to my surprise got rather hooked onto it.

Now? I own a Lamy 2000, Waterman expert and the aforemention Safari for writing.

I'm hooked and it's partially due to FPN as well - for all the reviews and information provided

The Lamy Safari also got me back into fountain pens. Followed by the Expert and then the pen collection craze goes almost nearly non stop. I think I am cured now. Welcome to fpn.

Welcome Qinyi smile.gif Lots of S'poreans here too. You're in good company.

My first (real) fountain pen was a Safari too.

Hope you got your Lamy 2000 online. The prices in this country are crazy =p

Do you still have your old scratchy pen? Maybe this might help:

Nice to see another fountain pen convert from Singapore.
I too has started to use fountain pens again after using mainly rollerballs for a long time.

Agreed that Lamy prices are expensive in Singapore but don't know why it's so cheap in Malaysia.

Have you looked at Mustafa? Can't try the fountain pens but much cheaper than elsewhere.

Welcome to FPN! As you can see, I'm Singaporean too. If you are looking for pens, be sure to try Bras Basah.
