Evenstar Project
Hi there.

Can anyone give suggestions on how i can adjust the ink flow on my Faber-Castell?
I have both the POTY 2008 and 2006 with medium nibs but one writes better than the other.
Attached is scan of their writing samples (I'm a lefty, by the way).

The 2008 has thinner lines, tends to skip and feels toothier than the 2006.

Short of sending it to GVFC for repairs or adjustments, is there a home remedy possible for this?
I've already soaked the nib overnight in water and changed from Montblanc black ink to Sailor, but it's still unsatisfactory.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Jay

I just got one of mine back from Dillon (Dillo at FPN) and for a very reasonable price and ultra-quick turnaround, he fixed the same problem for me.

My hands are too gimped up to do it myself and this way, I trust it was done right. She's like a whole new pen!

Thank you very much for the tip, Cindy.

Ink flow problem SOLVED!

I chanced upon a certain website's "troubleshooting" page that explained the usual cause of such problems for new pens, and recommended cleaning the nib and filling the pen with soapy water.

Well, whaddya know? It worked!
