Dear all,

I thought it'd be fun for all us collectors in London to get together and get to know each other before and at the London show in a couple of months, and afterwards. I have a trio of Boston Terriers, rather rare dogs in this country, and there exists a London Boston Terrier Meetup Group which allows Bostons and their owners to get together - usually in a park - about once a month for like-minded company and a picnic.

I thought this principle would translate pretty well to the community we have here, and so I have created the London Fountain Pen Collectors group - so, if you're in or around London, and feel like getting to know your fellows, please do sign up - when there are a few members, I'll get to organising a date, time and place which is convenient for everyone to have an inaugaural meeting. Everyone welcome!

So, please click here and help to found a London Pen Network: http://londonpens.groups.zanby.com/en/summary/

Hope to see many of you soon!

Warning! Big carrot being dangled here!

If you join the WES, I can help you by contacting other WES members in and around the London area (and possibly further afield) to boost the numbers. If you're interested, e-mail me at membership at wesonline etc etc.

Good luck thumbup.gif ,

Hi Martin,

I definitely intend to join the WES at some point. I was going to wait 'til the show - I was assuming there will be some opportunity then-and-there, but I may as well do it now smile.gif

Hi Martin

I was thinking about joining WES at the show in October. Will I be able to do that or is it best to join online?

Please join before! Last year I was inundated with new memberships from the Show. Whilst this is not a bad thing, I have to ensure all new memberships are processed before the Autumn Journal is published. Note that any new member joining "late"* in the year is a full member until the end of the following year.

If you PM me your address I'll pop a form in the post to you.

How's membership of the new group coming along. and do we have enough for the first meeting yet? It would be nice to have a meeting before the London show in October if that is possibe.
