Hello,

Does anybody own or as tried the Pelikan Music nib M. Binder grind? I'd really love to hear how you like it, writing sampler would be even better.

Thanks you smile.gif

Great question, I am a new convert to Pelikan. I currently love to write with my pens in rotation-
M805 smoothed medium-wonderful soft buttery feel. Day to day for fine work.

Waterman Exception -Smoothed Factory stub nib. Firm but expressive. My letter pen.

Platinum 3776 Music nib- man is this good, flows like nothing else I have tried. Great line variation and shading. I just wish the pen was bigger overall in dimension.
So you see a trend, I like Music/Stub nibs. I have a Black and gold M1000-Broad on its way. Now I have to say this nib is so good, broad fluid lines, a stunning performer. Can you imagine a music nibbbed M1000-Heaven. Feed back on a Binder Music is most welcome. I would love to see an example of writing if someone has one.
kindest regards- Stubnut

Use the search function. It took me less than a minute to discover that member kmlstmoorthi has one and posted about it two years ago. Said member doesn't post much, but has an email and was last here in June.

The Binder music nib has been discussed a lot here in the past. Use Search and you will be able to find the owners. Many of them, like kmlstmoorthi, aren't regular visitors or posters.

Please tell me what keywords you used to get that information so easily.

I did searched before posting and did not find the info I was looking for hence the post. I searched using "binder music nib" I found many thread talking of music nibs, or about M Binder or nib. None of them about the specific one made by M. Binder and no writing sample of it either. Not saying that there is none but rather that I could not find any. The fact that the keyword are "ORed" instead of "ANDed" make the search pretty useless with common keywords.

I searched for post made by kmlstmoorthi with the words "music nib" again all it returned was a page where it is mentionned, no more information and the link to whatever picture was there no longer works.

What am I missing?

Sorry, I made an unwarranted assumption that you didn't know about "Search" -- I apologize. There are many (sometimes long-time) members here who apparently don't know that Search is there or how to use it.

I used "Binder music nib" but in quotes. This essentially ANDs all of the words by making the system look for an exact match. I knew it had been a while since I had seen the music nib mentioned, so I went to the last of the 27 pages of results, picked a likely-looking subject line, and opened that thread. Bam! There it was.

Yes, the image is missing from that post, but my reason for mentioning kmistmoorthi was that you could email him or PM him and ask directly.

Again, I apologize for assuming that you didn't know about Search. I was tired yesterday and my Inner Jerk got loose. embarrassed_smile.gif

No harms done smile.gif I didn't even think to try the double-quoted string, despite the fact I use that often on Google embarrassed_smile.gif

In this case there is no information except the member names but I have to say I am a bit shy to email someone directly if I've never even exchanged post on the forum first. Call me too formal lticaptd.gif

So the question still stand about the Binder music nib biggrin.gif

You can always ask Richard Binder for a statement from one of his customers.
