Full Version: Recommendation for a penmeister for vintage 149

Hi guys,

My vintage celluloid 149 telescoping piston has been faulty and wouldn't draw ink. Probably need a piston replacement or maybe the whole telescoping system. I've looked around in my country and so far haven't been able to find one who's capable of repairing vintage montblancs. Any recommendation from Europe? (the land of birth for FPs) happyberet.gif

Thanks smile.gif

Well MBs are made in Europe so ther must be someone here who can repair them.....how about asking Montblanc?

(I cannot advise you as I have only one MB + another en route, and have had no need so far.)

If the reccomendation comes from this gentleman, I would go with it. Equally, I am convinced he could effect the repair himself, probably doing a better job. The mechanical parts to operating pens and tool manufacture are one of Francis's speciallity, much the same as others are good for nib grinding and tuning etc.

Don't take it to a Montblanc dealer.

Don't ask me how I know that! wink.gif
