Full Version: No imprint on barrel 17 Lady?

Hi all,
I bought a wonderful black 17 Lady of e-bay last week. It arrived today and after some flushing and polishing it looks nice and writes even better.
I have seen some pictures of early 17's with imprint on the barrel ("Parker 17 Lady"). However, the present pen does not have any imprint. The barrel is pristine, it does not look as though the imprint has been polished off. Is it possible that later pens had chalk marks or no imprint at all?
It is a 17 Lady with the short section; total length (capped) is about 117 mm.

Thanks.

I've bought 3 Parker 17 Lady pens in the last 12 months. The imprints have varied from deep to barely visible at the nib end, while the other side of the imprint didn't mark the barrel at all. Maybe you got one where the imprinter got bored & missed a pen completely.

Regards

Richard.
