I just got my first Pro Gear today and noticed when side by side with my 1911 that they are identical pens with the exception of the ends of the cap and barrel. And while I was playing with them I had them stacked up it was so reminiscent of MYU's picture that I had to take a snap.

One thing that I found incredible was that as soon as I plugged the cartridge in the pen started writing. Immediately - no hesitation etc. On other pens, you have to sit and flick the pen for hours to get it to write if you use a cartridge for the first time.

Here are the Sailor Towers (by night):

Nice Pens and Pictures.

I just ordered a Sailor 1911 Black with 21K Nagahara Concord Nib fountain pen. Should arrive tomorrow.

Is that the full-size 1911, or the 1911M that's the same size as the Pro Gear?

Full size on both 1911 and Pro Gear (the Japanese call the Sapporo the Pro Gear 'slim')

Just got my yellow 1911 in the mail from Pear Tree Pens (usual disclaimer, just a satisfied customer). Ordered a M nib - is it possible for a nib to be any smoother? cloud9.gif
