I am considering looking for a Pelikan M300 - I say considering because I need to consider the money first!
I was just reading on this forum about the Souverans being relatively dry writers though - and I prefer a bit wetter writer.
Is the dryness factor true of all Pelikan models - or mainly the Souverans?

I have an M320, and it's not dry...it's not a gusher, either but just right (for me, at least)

I find Pelikans nice and wet in general. As others may ask what kind of paper and inks are you using? I find that Private Reserve midnight blues on H.P 32lb premium laser paper flows very well with my M805 medium, same pen and ink on Rhodia feels dry....Try a different ink maybe????.....Pelikan blue black also feels good.

I have four M300's and not one of them is dry. They all write very smooth and wet, yet not so wet that the ink doesn't dry. I can't imagine you would be unhappy with one. The nibs I have seem to write a little bigger than what they are marked as, I don't know if it is because of the wet flow or what, but I use a fine where a medium iline ei what I want.
I have at least one each of all the other sizes and with the exception of the M400 Honey and White, they all have great flow.
Good luck.

I think of the dozen Pels I've owned not a one of 'em could be called dry. some were medium-to-wet, some are just plain wet writers. No gushers except for a vintage Pel (120)

None of my Souverän pens -- or the ones I tried out too -- appeared to be dry....
.... BUT ....
... it all depends on the ink you use in it. Pelikan inks, at least blue, blue-black, violet, red, brown and black are all "pretty dry" even in a Pelikan Souverän pen. "Funny" altho not "logical".
For a Souverän pen, use an ink from Waterman or Parker or Sheaffer or Herbin or CdA istead. (I have as yet no experience with Noodler's or Diamines.)
