I have just picked up a soft feel notebook from Rymans Stationers in The UK. Looks identical to Moleskine - black (also in brown), elastic, ribbon, pocket, lies flat, rounded corners, 192 pages 80 gsm paper. Cover has a slightly softer feeling but still rigid and the paper is more of an off white with darker rulings. I have only tested the back page with F nibs/ diamine inks but no feathering and very little show through - certainly better than the best moleskine I've tried. Afraid I can't scan samples at the moment as my scanner is inaccessible due to some major building work going on here - but I would prefer this to all other options I've tried (rhodia webnotebook, collins impress, c.over, (which I hate) ciak, cartesio (which are comparable but the paper is a bit toothy for me and the rulings too far apart)) - the only notebook I would use in preference so far is Quo Vadis Habana (which I love) but at £3.99 for the Ryman pocket vs. £10 for the Habana........

Thanks for that Kates. I just had a look on the website and they looks great.
Think I may grab me some of them.
