I would like to remove the clip from my Parker 45, but this time I can't seem to get the cap crown loose by pressing it into an eraser and rotating. I have been successful taking the caps of some other 45's apart this way, but this one won't budge! Is there a next level of persuasion that I can try? I would like to put a little more tension on the clip so that it grips my pocket better.

How about a little heat and a piece of rubber from an old inner tube.

45 caps can be stubborn. Heat can be your friend.
