Well I just purchased my first Montblanc on impulse, its a 264! May have had something to do with the Anne Frank's pen thread. Guess we can thank Shangas for converting me to montblanc-er
Since I have never had the pleasure of writing with Montblanc, it should be a nice surprise. What do you guys think of the old 264 model? Decent example of the company in its early years?
Appreciate having a place to share the excitement. -Chris

That should be a nice little pen but I am not sure I would say an example "of their early years" as the pen was made in the 1950s, so they had been making pens for some forty four years or more! Hope you enjoy it and let us all know what you think when you get it writing. Oh yeah, don't forget the pictures!

Hi Chris,
I have a #264 inked write now with Asa-Gao, a new Pilot shade of blue...sweet, smooth wet and bold OBB nib. Just like I like em' In length and girth its between a modern #144 and a #146.
I think you'll like your "new" Montblanc.
