I boght this pen off of a guy i work with for about 175.00, do you think i mage a good deal?

This pen sells new for a lot more than $175, so if your pen is in good condition (it looks like it is from your pics) and everything works as it should, you probably did quite well. Since your pen is the Classique size, you can get rollerball refills for less (even made by Office Depot) than authentic MB refills. MB refills, in my experience, are nice and smooth, though. Their blue is very vivid. Enjoy your new pen!

thanks i like it and have been pleased with everything except i have noticed that the lid doesn't stay on as well as some of the previous pens i have tried...

I'm guessing you mean that the cap doesn't sit well on the end of the pen body when you write. This might just be common with some MB pens; maybe they think that by posting the cap it will eventually leave a mark on the pen. I usually don't post my pens so that isn't a problem for me, but I hope this doesn't bother you too much. I usually just hold the cap in my left hand while writing. Pretty pen you got there, BTW.

Almost forgot to add, I hope you don't mean that the cap doesn't stay on well when the pen is closed. If that's the case, you might need a repair or you could lose the cap.
