I've just picked up a FP & RB set of the Liaison in brown ebonite - so much more refined than the orange version and, I believe, somewhat rarer.
I'd like to polish them up a little to get rid of microscratches and believe that Novus 2 should be safe.... I know ebonite can be destroyed by some polishes.
Anyone have any experience/recommendations?

You'll be fine with Novus. It's not my preferred polish for ebonite, but it will work fine.

Thanks for the confirmation... what would you use?

I use Wenol (red label) for my pens, ebonite included. Works very well, without being too abrasive.
Best, greg
