Hi all,
I am a left hander underwriter who has always been rather frightened if FPs until recently when I tried a Parker 45 someone gave me. It is wonderful, even for a leftie.
I did some diggin around and thought, on my limited budget and with very little knowledge, that the 45s might be a safe bet to collect. I now have 4 FPs, as well as a propelling pencil, and love them all.
I've just discovered that the Lamy Safari has a nib for left handers as well as the MK nib, which is also supposed to be good for lefties too. Des anyone have any experience of these pens? Are they worth trying out? Would a LH nib make that much difference?
Also, can anyone recommend inks? I've bought two bottles of Diamine Old English, which are very nice, although I'm not keen on the colour Prussian Blue - Its more grey/blue than the green/blue that I expected.
Thanks for any advice

Hi there and welcome too. As to inks, look at the ink sub-forum here, everyday. There are tons of questions and answers as to all colours, wetnesses etc etc and I'm sure you'll find something you're looking for.

Welcome. Notwithstanding statements in certain pen ads, there is really no such thing as a left-handed pen. If you tend to rotate your pen to the right or left, you might find it beneficial to purchase a right or left oblique nib. Otherwise, in my opinion, you'll just find it annoying to use a nib that's advertised as a left-handed nib.
BTW, I'm a left-handed overwriter.

Welcome, and I would also add that a normal nib is fine for an under the line left handers like me. As for the ink, I would have a look at Noodler's Aircorps Blue. It is a dark bluey green, almost a green black.

hello
good to see you
there are some great reviews in the in ink section with scans to get an idea of colour - i'd recommend some serious time in that section!
enjoy!
