Im surprised these kinds of things still make it to the end of their auctions...

They are getting better and better though aren't they... The clip almost looks real, but the rest... NSM (Not So Much)

Nice box/service guide.

Genuine...?

MB made in HK

I guess the easiest clue is the IPG nib (that I love to hate so much).

The color of the wood is also a give away. Boy who ever put that nib on must think lots of idiots buy WE pens.

Mont-Blanc on the clip (with the hyphen).

Wood 'engraving' that looks as though it was done by a hot brand and paint.

'Iridium Point Paris' on the nib, I suppose that 'Iridium Point Germany' is getting a bit passé.

goodguy
On the other hand this pen is perfect for people that want to show off they own a MB pen but dont really want to pay for a real MB pen.
Lets face it,if you work around people that make a lot of money and they walk around with MB,Dupont...etc then some would need to compensate their feelling of being poor by buying such a pen.99% of their coliques would think this really is the real deal.

Pretty much money for a fake!

But what I'm really worried about is the box. This box and the leaflet have no signs of being faked, they look real on the picture. Obviously the pen is a fake but the box looks like a genuine standard presentation box. Are the counterfeiters "trading up"?!?

If a box and/or "papers" were offered, I wouldn't even buy it for that reason........ I HATE boxes and papers. I just want a good pen I can write with. That's all!
I bought a brand new, real 146 two days ago from my store (where I don't work) for about 43% off. Luckily no box or papers. I could have had them "given" to me but I said I didn't want same. Guarantee still as usual.

Looks like they've sussed the WRITING IN STRUMENTS problem.

Here's the box and service guide with a different pen. MB ballpoint

Any idea which model this is meant to be?

Thanks for the tip. Found the real pen on fountainpen.de

Yes, the counterfeiters still have some way on this one.
langere
It looks like they are using the same stock photo for the box and papers. Might have invested in one authentic box and used it for all of their pens. Kind of clever, I think!
