Hi everyone,
I've been consulting the forum for some time now, just wanted to introduce myself.
I find this forum full with most valuable informations, and also with many interesting people.
I'm not a collector but rather a fountain pen user ("no safe queens"), as I write daily in my spare time, and have been doing so for the last 30 years.
I write with the pen unposted and holding the cap in the left hand.
Nowadays I prefer to use Aurora Optimas M nib with Aurora black ink, of which I own three, the blue auroloide, the marbled blue in resin and the black resin/chrome one; I also own a Pelikan M200, a blue Parker Duofold Centennial and a Parker 51.
I live really close to Aurora factory here near Turin.
I'm also an amateur graphologist (having attended a two years post graduation course here at local university in my spare time).

Good writing to all,

Francesco

Ciao e benvenuto su FPN.

Where do you purchase your Optimas? I know two B&M shops in Turin: La Stilografica in Via Nizza and Monasterolo in Via Cernaia. I like this place best. Anyhow, I love Turin. It's a classic lovely city.

Regards!

Ciao, grazie.
there is also La Casa della Penna just adjacent to Porta Susa railway station, and if you happen to travel to Milan, a nice shop is La Stilografica Milano in Corso Buenos Aires. Also if I recognize an interesting Optima on e-bay, of course I'm going to try to pay a fair price. I tend to evaluate and buy from many sources.
OT: I would not call this city "classic" anymore after the Winter Olympics effort. If in Turin please do not miss the installation "Afterville: the underground exhibition"

Hi there from Germany! That was a nice introduction and congratulations on your undertakings. Not being a collector but rather a fountain pen user is as far as I myself am concerned, absolutely perfect! I wish you all the best here!!!
