I just bought a Parker VP and am not sure how to adjust the swiveling nib. Is it stuck or is there some way to release it to adjust its angle? I can unscrew it the nib from the section, but not swivel/adjust it.

Thanks for your help!

The nib assembly adjusts by rotating the filler unit. The filler has a splined neck that engages the collector, into which the nib is screwed.

There's a fair bit of risk there though. If there is dried ink in the section, and you work it too hard, you could snap off the filler.

I assume the solution is to soak the section in water until the ink loosens. Any other ideas?

Not to scare you but you have got to be very decnt and careful with this pen.. I have a similar one and broke the filler ..till date I am unable to get a spare one or fix it .. please take care or see a pen shop where you live to loosen the pen for you .. Cheers
