Full Version: Lamy Studio problem

I need some help on my new Lamy Studio EF. I have been using this pen for some weeks now. Lately, I noticed a rather annoying problem with the ink flow. It starts well without having to shake or agitate the pen but after writing a couple of paragraphs, it starts to lay progressively thinner lines until it skips and stops. Now, when I shake it a bit, it restarts and lays its usual line on the paper then after a few paragraphs, it thins out again.

Though I really find this pen a comfort to write with, I am annoyed at the alternating thin and thick lines on my journal. This is not an acceptable fountain pen glitch by most standards. The problem is, I live in the Philippines and I could not find a Lamy service center here.

Can anyone help me regarding this problem? Any suggestions on how to go about this problem? Maybe the feed has some obstructions?

Nellie
You can just soak the nib and section overnight and clean the feed in this way. If you like you can put in two drops of washing up liquid as well. (It shouldn't be clogged in the first place, however, after just some weeks of use IMO- what ink have you been using?)
Good luck!!
