This is a Soennecken 111 Lady (smallest of 3 sizes) demonstrator pen in the classic herringbone pattern. This pen is a demo or dummy pen and is not intended to be used. Indeed the cap is glued shut to prevent use as its purpose was for salesmen to show the glorious range of colours these pens came in. (I have these pens in 6 colours!)
As the demo pens were not for sale they are extremely scarce to come by as a result as relatively few were ever made. This 111 Lady is in overall excellent condition.
The celluloid is mint but the metal parts show some tarnish though this should fully clean off by rubbing with a cloth in solvent/polish. I did this with one of my other dummy pens and the clip looks mint now. Other than this and a touch of discolouration (the pen is more green on one side and grey-ish on the other, a typical feature of the herringbone celluloid) the pen will then look like new!!
This pen would make a nice collector's item or a superb source for spares.
The 111 Superior pens typically shift for $300-450 or more.
