Greetings,

I’ve lurked here often enough that I thought it time to start more active participation.

I’ve loved FPs since I was in 6th grade (1975!), when my teacher gave me one “because she could not read my handwriting otherwise.” She wanted me to slow down a bit and take more time with my writing. It worked too. I used a FP (usually a pilot disposable) all the way through college. I then did a 10-year stint in the air force, and used a Fisher Space Pen almost exclusively.

Now I am desk bound. One of the little compensations is that I take a lot of notes, and can indulge my fountain pen interest. Right now, I’ve got (in order of acquisition):

MB Boheme (left oblique medium)
Visconti Van Gogh Maxi (medium)
Montegrappa Extra (Binderized medium)
Pilot VP (fine)
Namiki Yukari Seahorse (medium)
Pelikan M1000 (Mottishawed left oblique broad)

Thanks for having this great resource!

Cheers,

Steve

Hi Steve,

Welcome to FPN, from another Bay Area dweller. Grab a chair, a cup of java, and enjoy the circus biggrin.gif
