Full Version: Tightening an Esterbrook End Jewel
What is the best way to tighten the end jewel of an Esterbrook transitional? It's a 3-ribbed end jewel, if it makes a difference to the way they are attached to the cap. Thanks.

Three ribbed jewel. Most likely a screw in jewel. Tighten it like you would a 51 jewel by pressing and turning against a rubber pad. The jewel on these holds the clip in place. You can't always get it to tighten without removing the inner cap so you can hold the retainer nut.
If you can't get it to work for you, I'll do it for the postage for you.
