Hey, I've never seen an auction like that. Besides the fact that they are all made of precious metal, I think that they are not only insanely expensive but also insanely ugly. But that is just my humble opinion.
Insane AuctionThe best thing, though, is the guy's poor recent feedback. Two people claiming that he never sent two items that were about $850 each. So, if you bid and pay your money, you might be out of luck!

I'm not sure a lot of these came in ballpoint configurations, e.g. the Stipula Il Dono and the Laurus.
So I think it's just outright fraud.

Great! Based on your negative comments, that means less competition for me. Or should I play it safe and use the "Buy It Now" option?

Yes, I think Deirdre is on to something. I also noticed how many of these pens were BP's, but I honestly do not recall how many of the LE issues were FP's only. Certainly several of them. I think this auction is as dangerous as it is insane.
As far as the aesthetics of the pens, most of these are examples of pens that I would never buy. Next to these pens, the lovely Zen-like Japanese pens of plain urushi with only a clip (or no clip) for trim seem all the more beautiful. That is a very personal opinion, I realize.

Yup, it looks like a confidence job. I'd hate to see the guy who actually pays for it.

I got very excited there for a minute untill I saw most pens there are ball points-how disapointing.
As I always say if I buy a BP or a RB pen I might as well buy a 10c Bic.

Did you see shipping costs? $590.16!!! They must get shipped in their own display case!

David, you should! It's a steal. And I'll not tell the seller that this stellar collection is actually worth 10 grand more.

Its even more funny because 90% of the good comments came from ebay companies who are probably in cahoots with this guy

Not only that, but the person's never bought or sold pens in the last three months, so you can't even look at who the person bought from.
Then again, as I've said, these are probably counterfeit.

Inferior or counterfeit pens? For only fifty grand (plus shipping)?
Count me in!
Can I pay with counterfeit money? I can print some with my picture on it!
