"UNIQUE MONT BLANC INK SHOE SALT & PEPPER SHAKER SET"
Item number: 6247303062

"This is a very unique salt and pepper set I haven't seen another like it on EBAY. This was found at an antique/collectibles show. A lady was selling all sorts of unqiue salt & pepper sets. This salt & pepper set is made out of old Mont Blanc ink shoes. They look like a pair of mini glass shoes. One has a Mont Blanc label on it the other does not. They both have the Mont Blanc symbol white star on black on the caps. Please see the pictures. There are no cracks in the glass. However, they should be well cleaned if they are going to be used as a salt and pepper set. The holes for the salt and pepper are located in the points of the star, very neat! Please let me know if you have additional questions. This neat and very unique item has been stored in a smoke free home. Happy bidding. "

What a cute idea. If I used Mont Blanc ink I would have my husband drill a few holes! Come to think of it, the Slovanian Sheaffer ink bottles would make great salt and pepper shakers. Oh, so would Aurora, Noodlers and Waterman! Hey maybe I just found a new business.tongue.gif

Ooh ooh! And those tiny Sheaffer 12 ml bottles would be great for indivdual shakers.

I have just requested a patent for using empty cartridges as toothpick holders. I'm a genius!

That's what you think Alejandro... I just patented the accountant nib as a toothpick biggrin.gif

What I thought was funny was the part about them looking like little shoes. I think they were trying to cross market them to shoe collectors biggrin.gif

I'd never considered the shape as a shoe until seeing that ad. I still don't. Klompen/sabots have pointier toes. laugh.gif
