I am Surflord. A fellow fountain pen enthusiast in NYC. My favs have been Lamy 2000 and Pelikans. The nibs (to me) are firm and steady. I tried the Parker Duofolds yrs ago, but (1) they do not have a true piston fill, which I enjoy and (2) the nib seems a bit too flex for my writing...

Ink? Well I have a small stockpile of Parker's Sapphire Blue that I use for very special correspondence. My work ink in Doodler's dark blue.

I hope to learn as well as contribute to this incredible forum.

Welcome to FPN, Surflord! The Lamy 2000 is a beautiful pen. Like you, I am a big fan of the piston fill. How long have you been using fountain pens?
