1) If color doesn't factor into it, what fountain pen ink is your favorite for all it's other properties?
2) If all that matters is color, what fountain pen ink is your favorite?

For me:
1) Noodler's Bulletproof Black: Non-feathering, slow flowing but not stodgy, easy to wash off skin but BULLETPROOF, capable of making nib's write their finest lines on any paper.
2) Levenger Cobalt: The most beautifully rich shade of blue I 've yet to see (I've never seen Penman Sapphire).

Number 1 comes down to whether I prefer no nib creep or bulletproofness. I think I prefer bulletproofness, so I'll go with Heart of Darkness over Legal Lapis because I think HoD creeps a little less but otherwise has the same positive attributes of LL (bulletproof, no feathering issues I have seen, good dry time).

I think number 2 is Private Reserve Midnight Blues. I love that deep blue.

1. Waterman Florida Blue - I love everything about it, the color is just o.k.
2. Visconti Blue - It is the most beautiful shade of blue I have seen yet, but the flow isn't quite as good as I like it. (Guess I'm getting a bit too used to Waterman)

Color does factor into it,but it depends on what I get an itch for.

Just recently I did something that I thought that I'd never do--bought my 1st bottle of MB ink. Bordeaux. I have lately
had an itch for getting and using a burgundy or purple ink. I fell in love with the color and especially the "shoe" shape
of the bottle(I can use it later for other inks when I run that bottle dry!). I need to do a review of it;I already took pics..... biggrin.gif

(1) & (2) Skrip Blue.

1) Parker Washable Blue, it makes you want to write with all my pens
2) Visconti Blue, impressive blue but a bad flow

1) Waterman Florida Blue...for me it's the standard
2) Difficult...depends on my mood, but at the moment Diamine Teal.

1) Like so many others, without a doubt Waterman Florida Blue. The colour is passable but nothing to wow about.

2) I really like Noodler's La Coleur Royale but I can't stand Noodlers' famed nib creep and overly gushy properties.

Favorite textures: Waterman South Sea Blue, PR Chocolat, (for balky pens) PR Tanzanite. I often use Waterman Florida Blue for new pen inaugurals but sometimes find it spreads more than preferred.

Favorite colors (in no particular order): Waterman South Sea Blue, PR Plum, PR Naples Blue, PR Velvet Black, R&K Smaragdgrun, Eversharp purple, PR Orange Crush.

I have a bottle of Fahrney's Turquoise from a few years ago (this color name is no longer used) that is more like a medium-deep teal. I prefer it to more mainstream blues such as Levenger Cobalt Blue and Waterman's Florida Blue, though I also use those.

Being a glutton for punishment at times.... I love Parker Penman Sapphire and Bay State Blue... both with their own set of issues but wow what pretty colors!

1) I vascillate between Noodler's Violet Vote and Legal Lapis. This hasn't changed.
2) Private Reserve Blue Suede.

1. In terms of flow and feel, Waterman blue-black. It almost feels like oil coming out of my Lamy Al-Star, I don't get any nib creep, and it's just a super easy every day ink to use.

2. As for colour, my favorite colour is red, so Herbin Opera Red. Sadly, I can't really use red for most things, and this ink bleeds though a lot of papers for me.
