There was a Parker rollerball on eBay just recently that I'm not familiar with. Does anyone know what model this is? Here's a link to the auction

Well the top looks like it is from a Parker Lady Jotter Princess - an early ballpoint from around 1960, a long time before the first rollerball!

Not sure about the rest of the pen. I haven't seen this finish before on a Jotter Princess. The length of the black cone at the end of the barrel concerns me. Possibly non-Parker.

If this is a rollerball, I wonder what function the push-button at the top of the pen has?

Hmm, the word 'frankenpen' keeps coming to mind.

Hi John
This is indeed a parker jotter princess (ball pen)
the pen is a genuine Parker (cap and barrel) but i don't know the official name for the pattern.
I have one in exactly the same pattern myself rolleyes.gif

A little more research of this forum revealed the following contribution from: parkercrazy who, of course, happens to have one or two of these...

Personally, I hadn't seen a Princess with the longer barrel cone (until now), only the shorter type as illustrated in the blue princess at about 4 o'clock in Parker Crazy's picture. Wonder why they produced both types (in the same colors incidently)?

...so it's genuine but not a rollerball.

Thanks for finding the post by ParkerCrazy. It makes sense that this is a ballpoint and not a rollerball. It's a pretty cool looking pen. Too bad it didn't have a pocket clip.

I sold one of these to parkercrazy a while ago, definitely a BP, not an RB. I assume they would have had a slip-pouch to go with this model, since it was going to (usually) end up in a purse or handbag. Neat looking BP!
