I’ve been fond of fountain pens for a long time but have never seriously collected – maybe I’ll start… I have the following pens:
Old
- My Dad’s Parker 51 (How do I figure out it’s date of manufacture?)
- A gold Sheaffer – don’t know which model
- Parker Duofold probably from 1940-50 (purchased from Ebay and needs work)
Newer
- Rotring Core
- Parker Frontier
- Parker 45
- Marlen
And my newest, an Omas Bologna, which is a terrific pen.
My favorites are the 51 and the Omas. And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention another beloved writing instrument - a Faber-Castell mechanical pencil that I have been using almost daily for 25 years!
I look forward to learning from all of you.

Welcome to this very addictive forum, from a neighbour in the Ottawa-Gatineau area.
This place is a real time waster. But what a nice way to do so.

Welcome from the West! Welcome to the addiction, but from the looks of your collection, it's too late to warn you.
