Aside from the cosmetic differences are there any practical or functional differences between the M250 gold nib and the M400 gold nib?
I am also told that the M600 nib will, if set deeply enough, fit into a 2xx/4xx pen. What differences exist, functionally and practically, between a 400 nib and a 600 nib, if any?

Hi,
There is nothing really different except for the Rhodium mask and engraving.
On the M600 nib, the collar is set closer to the end of the nib unit, making the nib longer. The M600 nib has the same thread as the M200 and 400 nibs.

Thanks for the quick reply, now I can dream of a franken-250 as I doze off this evening. I found a vermiel cap from a 400-something, sans pen, for sale online, I might grab a two tone nib and put them both on a 2xx body for a one of a kind creation.
